PlasmidFactory GmbH is a globally active biopharmaceutical company, founded in Bielefeld, Germany, in 2000. The leading contract manufacturing organization (CMO) for plasmid and minicircle DNA has a strong customer base in the fields of cancer research, gene and cell therapy, and vaccination. PlasmidFactory produces custom plasmids and minicircles according to client's requirements in modern laboratories with high quality standards. The manufacturing service comprises several quality grades: Research Grade and ccc Grade qualities for research purposes and pre-clinical applications, High Quality (HQ) Grade as starting material for e.g. GMP production of RNA, viral vectors and CAR-T cells. Full GMP will be available from 2024.

Moreover, the company offers a wide range of In Stock products that are available off-the-shelf for immediate delivery. The portfolio covers helper and packaging plasmids from the pDG and pDP family for AAV production, various reporter constructs as well as pEPito plasmids with S/MAR elements. The company's R&D activities are focused on the production, analysis and storage of plasmid DNA and Next Generation Gene Vectors, such as minicircles. PlasmidFactory co-operates with national and international partners on individual projects, e.g. in the fields of CAR-T cell, AAV and mRNA production and works in long-term, strategic collaborations with pharmaceutical and biotech companies that require plasmid or minicircle DNA for (pre-) clinical applications.
