InfectoGnostics Research Campus Jena/Thuringian Innovation Cluster

Booth: 17

Public-private partnership for innovative infection diagnostics and infection research.

The InfectoGnostics Research Campus Jena, together with the Thuringian Cluster Management (ThCM), are representing the BioRegion Thuringia as exhibitors.

As a public-private partnership, the InfectoGnostics Research Campus Jena is breaking new ground in the diagnosis of infections. More than 30 partners from science, medicine and industry are working together to develop innovative solutions for the rapid and cost-effective on-site diagnosis of infectious diseases. As a Thuringian innovation cluster, InfectoGnostics is deeply rooted in Thuringia's innovation landscape and is also well connected with other clusters, commercial enterprises, research institutions, clinics and other stakeholders both nationally and internationally.

The cooperation between public and private partners on an equal footing is breaking down barriers for fast translation of innovative diagnostics. Thus, promising research approaches and disruptive technologies reach routine use and therefore users and patients more quickly as market-ready products.

Global threat – multi-resistant infectious agents Multi-resistant pathogens are on the rise world wide. InfectoGnostics has therefore set itself the goal of enabling accurate AMR diagnoses before initiating any therapy.

The InfectoGnostics Research Campus is one of nine projects in the funding initiative "Research Campus - Public-Private Partnership for Innovations" of the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF).
